The Return of the Dark Tide of the Medieval Ages

中世纪，黑暗的宗教势力为维护其中心的地位，烧死了主张科学的意大利天文学家，并留下了一系列臭名昭著的政治干预科学传播的案例。今天又有人干着同样的事情。

 

正当中国以前所未有的速度发展着经济和科技，迅速摆脱贫困与落后之时，稍微有正义感的人都为这人类的进步而高兴，但却引来一些人的嫉恨与怒火，他们想尽各种办法和理由，妄图对自由，开放与科学予以封杀和阻挡。他们从阻止贸易自由到攻击中国科技2025年的发展计划，阻止中印和俄国正常军事贸易，这霸权到了无以复加的地步，甚至有人提出要禁止学生留学，这等于阻止教师教学与传播科学。这些使人们不禁想起中世纪宗教黑暗势力的所作所为。这些黑暗势力用杀害侮辱造谣，妄图阻止科学的传播和人类的进步事业。但终归是徒劳的。

 

本来一个人为自己民族的利益而努力是无可指责的，但不能损人利己，不能以牺牲别的民族的利益为代价。世界问题的多边主义就是实践民主的精神，而单边主义就是强权政治，老子有实力，说了就得算。这实际是暴君的做法，无理可讲。“让美国再伟大”如果发展到以损害别的国家利益来发展本国经济，那经济上再强大，也是渺小的。大量退出世界各种组织，就表明对这些组织所维护的以保护大多数国家利益为目的的现存秩序的嫉恨，这无关公平不公平。事实也证明如此，美国单方面撕毁伊核协议，继续“制裁”伊朗，这难道公平吗？提高关税，破坏贸易自由就是专门损害别国的利益。中国的快速发展使美国精英不高兴，因为这证明世界上还有更好的制度可以不靠战争，不靠掠夺他国而取得经济的快速发展。这使美国认为他们的制度和意识形态最优秀而加以推行而实际专门干些损人利己的事和不断发动用军事干预其他国内政的借口荡然无存。

 

人类科技的进步和传播是不可阻挡的，人类进步的事业是不会停息的，贸易的自由是不能封杀的。中国发展迅速得益于这些历史潮流的力量，得益于对这些力量很好的运用，更得益于充分调动个人（私人）和集体（政府）的共同努力，决不是单靠私有制所能达到的，最后的结果证明一切。这也决不是加一些关税所能阻挡的，决不是一两句攻击话所能击败的。

 

无论国有还是私有，补贴必是牺牲发展一些产品的机会，而加强另外一些，因此从使用资源来讲，总和仍是常数。总体竞争实力是靠经济发展而非靠补贴。如能靠补贴而提高总体竞争力，那发展经济就会简单的多。不过有人用政府的力量主要发展军事，而有些人用此主要发展经济。私有经济在产品生产中也有资源调配，强化发展某一些产品，实质也是补贴问题，但这决不会影响市场的自由竞争。生产端，无论公有还是私有，要影响消费端只能通过提高产品的性价比。至于个别产品的竞争，同私有经济中的竞争一样，靠综合实力的竞争。国有经济竞争的主要对手是贫困，以此为发展经济的目的，因此总体上没有竞争公平不公平的问题；而私有经济竞争的对手主要是同行，以赚钱为目的，所以竞争必须公平。因此总体上说国有经济比私有经济更为合理，有力量，但效率上有时比私有经济差。人们都这样说，如果这是真的，那还害怕什么？这也无关乎市场的自由。任何阻挡中国快速发展经济的企图只能证明他们失败后的恼羞成怒。

 

说现在是冷战远远不够准确，因它没有指出发动冷战一方损人利己的目的，就像当面临战争，不去区分其性质。说是意识形态制度的问题也是借口，因为中俄的现实是已接受或部分接受个人发展经济，和西方的制度已非常靠近，本应高兴和支持。但不是，而是照样攻击和反对。这如伊索寓言中的狼，要想吃掉羊，总会有各种借口。它真实的目的是想削弱中国发展经济的势头，是害怕自己第一的位置被超越，而不论什么制度和意识形态，如当年对日本。而一旦被超越，美元的地位就受到威胁，就无法说明自己的制度是全世界最优秀的，那军事干预别国内政的借口全变得没有任何意义，而不在于你高调或低调讲出你的科技和经济发展计划。

 

逆历史的潮流，螳臂挡车，捡起中世纪宗教黑暗势力的做法，只能如中世纪的黑暗势力一样粉身碎骨。

 

 The Return of the Dark Tide of the Medieval Ages

 

In the medieval ages, in order to maintain its centrality, the dark part of the religion burned the Italian astronomers who advocated science and these dark forces left behind a series of notorious cases of political interference in the dissemination of science. Someone else is doing the same thing today.

 

Just as China has been developing the economy, science and technology at an unprecedented pace, and getting rid of poverty and backwardness, any people with a bit of sense of justice should be pleased with the progress of mankind. But on the contrary, this has aroused the envy and hate of some small group of people. From preventing trade freedom to attacking China's science and technology development plans in 2025, wanting to kill the normal military trades between China and India with Russia, which can only prove US government’s hegemony has reached to the point which cannot add any more, they think about all kinds of ways and reasons they could in attempts to kill and block the freedom, openness and science; someone even has proposed to prohibit students from learning sciences. This is equal to stop teachers to teach and spread sciences. These have made people cannot help to think about the dark forces of medieval religions. These dark forces used the murders, the insults and vicious rumors in attempts to prevent the spread of science and human’s progress. But it was in vain at the end.

 

It is blameless for anyone to work for one’s nation, but cannot do it at the expense of the interests of other nations. Multilateralism in world problems is the practice of democratic spirit, while unilateralism is power politics. They think “I am the boss with strong powers. I always have last word, no argument at all”. This is the practice of the tyrant. If "to make America great again" is developed to the movements at the cost of other national interests, then its economy will be whatever strong, it is small and mean nation. US government has withdrawn from a large number of the World's organizations; it shows that the envy and hates of the current world orders maintained by these organizations and guarding to protect interests of a large number of the nations. It has nothing to do with being equal or not. The facts have also proved so: US government tore up the Iran's nuclear agreement alone and will continue the sanction against Iran. Is that fair? Raising tariffs and undermining trade freedom specially target to rob of the other Countries. China's Rapid development has made the elite of the United States unhappy, because it has proved that there is better system in the world that neither relies on any war nor robs of others, but can achieve a rapid economic development. This has made the US’s the pretexts become null. The pretexts assume US’s system and ideology are the best and should be pursued, but in fact under the pretexts they specially rob of other nations and intervene others’ internal affairs by military forces.

 

 The progress and dissemination of human science and technology is unstoppable, the cause of human progress will not cease, and freedom of trade cannot be banned. The pace of development in China has benefited from these strengths of the historical trends, from the good use of powers of these trends and the full mobilization of the joint efforts of individual (private) and collective (governmental). But private system alone cannot achieve so fast development. The final results can only prove everything. Adding some tariffs cannot block it; one or two words attacks cannot defeat it.   

 

Subsidies, whether they come from governmental or private economies, must sacrifice some of opportunities to develop some products in order to focus the resources on others. So the sum of resources totally used remains the constant. Overall competitive strength depends on economic development rather than subsidies. If subsidiary could raise total competition powers, then development of economy would be much simple. The collective powers are strong, but someone use them to mainly develop the military powers, however someone uses them mainly to develop the economy. The private economy also has the resources transfers and allocations among different manufactures of products to focus resources on some products, which is essentially subsidiary problems, but it absolutely does not affects free competition in the markets. The production side, be governmental or private, can influence the consumption side only by improving the ratios between the cost and performance of the product. As for the competition of particular products, the situation will be same as in the private economy; it depends on the competition of comprehensive strength. The main counter parties that state-owned economy must win is poverty which is the main purpose to develop economy, so in general there is no problem of fair or unfair competition. The private sector competes mainly with the peers and makes money as the main purpose and therefore must compete each other fairly. On the whole, the state owned economy is more reasonable and powerful than the private economy, but sometimes it is less efficient than the private economy.  People often said so, if it is true, then what do you worry about it? And this has also nothing to do with market free or not. Anyone who wants to stop fast development of China can only prove their angers after shamed because of the failure. 

 

It is not enough accurate to say present situation is the cold war, as if it failed to point out the nature when facing a war. It is also an excuse to say the present situation is because the problems of ideology and system, because the reality of China and Russia have accepted or partially accepted the individual ( private) efforts to develop the economy, which got very closer to the West system. US government should be happy and support them. But on the contrary, US government still attacks and opposes them as usual. Like the wolf in Aesop's fable, there are always various excuses if the wolf wants to eat the sheep. This demonstrated the true purpose of US government is hope to weaken the momentums China has to develop its economy and is afraid of overpass over its current first economic position in the world despite what your system is, like then Japan. And once overpassed, the current position of US Dollar will be threatened, and the result is that cannot demonstrate to other countries the US system is the best in the world. Then all its excuses of military intervention against other countries will become meaningless. It has nothing to do with your high or low profiles to speak of your plans to develop the science and technology and economy. 

 

Going against the trend of history, wanting to stop an oncoming train by tiny and weak hands, picking up the old ways of dark forces of medieval ages, whoever you are, you will doom to be broken to pieces as the dark force of the medieval Ages.
